Ms. Ashley Wilbor is an avid linguist and enjoys studying foreign languages and cultures.  After receiving a degree in Linguistics from the University of Georgia, Ms. Wilbor decided to pursue a career in ESOL education at Georgia State University.  Her love of children combined with a desire to promote additive bilingualism and literacy helped her to choose the field of ESOL education.  Ms. Wilbor believes very strongly that there is no "one size fits all" approach to teaching. Rather, teaching must incorporate culturally relevant aspects and literature in addition to differentiation based on cognitive and linguistic skills.  Furthermore, Ms. Wilbor is an advocate for simultaneous development and maintenenceof the home language and English.   Ms. Wilbor also enjoys reading.  Her favorite books include The Red Tent by Anita Diamant,  and The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.
